Hauling Rhys home

How is training going? I need to get out there.
UPDATE: I got out and did my required 6.2 mile run & had 8 dogs come after me. Darn dogs.

Yesterday I picked up Abby & her mare, Cadence.

I took them out to Kingston where we unloaded Cadence and left her in her new stall.

Coming out of that same stall was Rhys.
Rhys belonged to Susan in TriCities and was recently sold. Shes a beautiful warmblood mare doing solid 1st level dressage and well on her way to 2nd level & higher.
Rhys lived here for a couple months while the weather was warm and mostly dry then she went to the indoor arenas for the winter months.

Abby & Rhys
Yesterday she went to live in Mount Vernon, Washington with a lady who wants to ride dressage and seems like a really nice person. It as very cold with snow on the ground but we had no problems getting there.

Abby and I did have a problem getting home though, we stopped for fuel and just had to go to the Tulalip Casino for a while & to eat...
And a little gambling, which Abby had never done before. I had split my hauling $$ with her so after fueling up we had $35 each to play with.
I gave her the info I had been told by my brother: most people are right handed so they use the right side machines more often and the ones by the front doors pay out more. So she put $2 into a $1 machine and won $20. We were excited so she put in another $1 and won another $20. WooHoo! On the way to the buffet we stopped at the $5 machine by the front door and I let her use my voucher, it had $20 and after 1 play it had $35. We were so easily amused!

We signed up for the rewards program that will never reward us with anything and continued to gamble a little at a time till the buffet opened so we could eat.

The Prime Rib was SO GOOD.
Then we went out to continue our gambling. The machines she had been winning on in the morning weren't paying out at all so we decided to leave but stopped by the $5 machine on our way out. I played twice and won another $25 so I walked out with $80 in hand and Abby had $70 and we both had full bellies.
It was a really nice day all around. We don't get to spend a lot of time together so this was a nice time to catch up with each other.
