Christmas Eve

Lan put up the tree and I'm only putting the new ornaments onto it, so far thre are 2.

I picked up this awesome wreath at Wilco for free, using it as a center piece on the table.

Got home from Wilco & Lan was putting this up. We never put up the HUGE chandelier that I purchased so when I found this last week at Habitat for Humanity for $10, I insisted that we need it. $10! Or course the lights were quite a bit more, about $26 more.

Horsey news:

Mack got a puncture wound on his head, bled like crazy. This happened Sunday morning and I found it when I got home from work at 8:30am. I was so tired that all I could do was call Meghan & let her deal with it. I had to sleep. But we're keeping a very close eye on it. 

She came & cleaned it out then put medical ointment on it. 

This morning Karen and I checked it out; no pus but swollen. Put T-Zone on it.

This evening I gave him apple flavored SMZs in his grain and put him into the stall so I can check it out before they are turned out to pasture in the morning. 

Tonight hes spending in the Stable Comfort stall, hope he feels better in the morning.

NNSS & The Basement Escape Room

One of my favorite trips to Las Vegas yet, took R2 & Sarah.

They went up to Red Rock Canyon & hiked up onto the top of the red rocks

That night we drove out to Wilson Tank; car took a beating but this is the reward

Sunday evening we went to The Basement Escape Room, where we died.

In our defense, we had a plan but at the last minute there was another group of 5 people who joined our group & they didn't share  info or anything so we all died.

This Time It's Different

We've been to Las Vegas many times

The first time was in 2006

then 2008

Then in 2010

2011

2012

2013

2014

2017

and 2017 again

and many times in between when we were just traveling through and only stayed for a day or so. That's where our time share is and we love it.

But this time we're going on a very different sort of trip. We are flying and my son & his GF are driving our car down. I gave them cash for food & gas so I wouldn't have to pay for a rental car. This time someone else gets to enjoy the scenery all the way there while we're going to be working and then flying in at the last moment.

I've bought tickets for all 4 of us to go to The Basement Escape Room, tickets to the Atomic Museum, and Lan & I will be going on the NNSS tour. We might go to a show and we'll hit at least one buffet.

Life In General

I've started my Fall shift at Southworth dock; on Friday mornings I have to ride the boat over to Vashon & back. Its cool to be in front of the tag line when the boat is coming in.

Here is the tapestry I paid $13.99 for, its very light weight and darker than they showed but we hung it anyway. I think its kinda cute.

Thanksgiving turkey turned out great.

Our guests, ended up with 16.3 all together.

Had to have 2 tables, decided to go with a T so there was enough room for everyone.

We had our parents, cousins from Canada, friends from work and one of my boys.

Can't wait for Christmas
